Police Warn Of Carjacker

Police in Nowra have warned motorists to take care when driving alone after the abduction of a young woman from South Nowra on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old woman was waiting to turn right from Hillcrest Ave on to the Princes Hwy when a man entered her car from the passenger side door.

She was grabbed by her neck and forced to drive south.

After turning on to Jervis Bay Rd the woman stopped and refused to drive further.

The man left the car and headed along Jervis Bay Rd on foot.

The woman suffered shock but was not seriously injured.

A Jervis Bay man was later interviewed by police and inquiries into the abduction are continuing.
